The quaint little town of Ooty has always been a family favorite for our annual vacations, I have so many fond memories of riding the toy train, running around the botanical garden, horse-riding, stuffing my face with the yummy home made chocolates and the smell of eucalyptus that seems to wash over the entire town.
This year, it was a bit different because I went there for a music festival with a few friends, a road trip and four days of “going mad” as the festival intended for us. Staying in a tent, spending many hours of the night by a bonfire, listening to quirky talented bands live, eating, drinking and driving around the scenic town, but best of all, it was spending time with friends as mad as they come. In one line, it was a holiday worth writing about.
Leaving the city and driving through a small town… You can almost feel the time slowing down..
If superstitions are to be believed, Spotting an elephant during a long distance journey brings luck and prosperity.. And we were lucky enough to spot 3 during our trip.. 😀
The camp site, surprisingly very warm during the supremely cold nights.
While descending the hill and getting back to our busy reality…
After four days of nature, fun and friends, I’ve come back with a holiday hangover and planning my next holiday..
Until next time…
