Rosé

Rosé

Rosé is one of my favorite wines, second only to a beautiful Riesling, especially during summer months (ahem), and in tropical India, it works almost all year round.

Life is always better with Rosé filled glasses (see what I did there, hehe).

Tea Party (1)

Lately my go-to way to unwind after a long week (I know its only Wednesday) is with a little me time and my favorite cranberry tea. Making everything about my tea party a slow and deliberate ritual – like letting the tea steep and slowly bleed color into the piping hot water. Picking the perfect cup and saucers for the occasion, picking a cookie, or some little snack, setting everything up on the table.

My tea parties are a way to let everything else fade to nothing more than a blur. Even if its just a few minutes, it rejuvenates me and readies me to face the world again.

Do you have go-to rituals to unwind? I’d love to know.

Crowning glory

Crowning Glory

All my life, one of my favorite things about myself has been my hair. Its always been easy to manage, despite all the damaging experiments I’ve tried on it. After all, the fact that it has survived a Perm, and still continues to shine thrills me to no end. Of course, like anything, it gets its share of TLC.

Life Hack for confidence: If there’s something you love about yourself, take care of it. Nurture it. Take pride in it. Love it. And it will be a gateway to find more things you like (love!) about yourself. Voila… Confidence!

Until next time.

Monochrome (2)

Black and white photos much like our memories have a tendency of appearing flawless. Which is why we tend to be nostalgic about exes, even when in reality the relationship (so to say) was pretty toxic, and you probably dodged a massive bullet. Same is the case with the way we see things once we decide to part ways. Today decisions were made which will forever change my life, much like most decisions. But some of them have a bigger impact, and are sometimes scarier to make.

Life, after all, is rarely (if ever) black and white. Life is full color, full of cracks on the concrete, complicated people, bad lessons, good memories, and everything in between. So instead of chasing an impossible standard of flawless, I’ll choose to savor life exactly as it comes, flaws and all. But that doesn’t mean my photos can’t be pretty!

Until next time.
